Advisory Board
Pursuant to Article 4, Paragraph 1 of the Rules of the Organization and Procedure of the Advisory Board of NEAA and the decisions of the Accreditation Council (Protocol №. 03/13.02.2025; Protocol №. 05/13.03.2025 and Protocol № 06/27.03.2025), the composition of the Advisory Board of the NEAA has been determined as follows:
Chairperson:
1. Prof. Atanas Kovachev – Architect and member of the Standing Committee on Technical Sciences of the NEAA.
Members:
2. Prof. Galya Khristozova – Representative of a higher education institution, member of the Standing Committee on Pedagogical Sciences and Social Activities of the NEAA.
3. Assoc. Prof. Momchil Antov – Association of the Industrial Capital in Bulgaria, Director of the National Association of Bulgarian Freight Forwarders.
4. Assoc. Prof. Simeon Groysman – Lawyer, representative of a higher education institution.
5. Prof. Grigor Dimitrov – General Director of the "Employer Interests" Center at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
6. Prof. Bozhidar Hadzhiev – Member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
7. Ivan Zahariev – Director, "Labour Market and Human Resources" at Confederation of the Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria
8. Dr. Alex Oreshkov – Member of the Association of Specialized Experts in Tourism.
9. Ms. Rositsa Stelianova – PhD candidate at the Institute of Economic Research, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The Technical Secretary of the Advisory Board is Ms. Valentina Mitreva – Chief Expert at the Standing Committee on Social and Legal Sciences, Security, and Defense.
The term of office of the Advisory Board is two years, starting from 13.02.2025.
Status and Tasks of the Consultative Council of the NEAA:
- The Consultative Council is an expert advisory body to the Accreditation Council (AC) of the NEAA, tasked with discussing key issues related to improving communication, cooperation, and interaction with professional and industry organizations, as well as enhancing the efficiency and organization of accreditation procedures.
- The members of the Council conduct analyses and provide proposals, recommendations, and opinions on documents related to the methodological and accreditation activities of the NEAA, taking into account education, professional training, and the employability potential of students in both the domestic and European labor markets.
- The Consultative Council issues opinions on the establishment of new study programmes within accredited professional fields at universities, requiring a thorough analysis of regional development trends and the perspectives of local state and municipal governing bodies.
- Meetings of the Consultative Council may be regular or extraordinary. Regular meetings are held at least once every three months, while extraordinary meetings are convened by decision of the AC of the NEAA. Meetings are closed to the public.
