The Bulgarian National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA), together with the Ministry of Education and Science, the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Romania and the Bulgarian Council for Refugees and Migrants, invites all interested parties to participate at the International Conference "Inclusive Higher Education and Microcredentials", 18 - 19 September 2024, Sofia, Bulgaria.
The conference venue, practical information and final agenda will be made available to all registered participants. During the conference, translation from and into English and Bulgarian will be provided.
What to expect: During the event, the activities of the START project (Social inclusion, tolerance, acceptance and realization for all students) will be presented including - results of discussions with international representatives of HEQA agencies on the topics of the project, outcomes of focus discussions groups, conclusions from a study on the topic among universities in Bulgaria, as well as a draft of indicators for accreditation of higher education related to social inclusion.
Within the framework of the conference, it is foreseen to discuss topics concerning the future of higher education in the European Higher Education Area. The event will provide an opportunity for exchange of good practices, interactive discussions and group work.
The main conference agenda will be followed by a side event focusing on enhancing the quality of provision for transnational education programmes through cooperation between the United Kingdom and Bulgaria. The event will be held on 19 September afternoon at the Conference Hall (Mirror Hall) in the Rectorate building of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" The event is organized with the support of the British Council and in partnership between the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and the NEAA.
