NEAA Participated in the 4th Seminar for Agencies Recently Reviewed for ESG Compliance by ENQA

On the 26th and 27th of February 2025, the 4th ENQA Seminar for Recently Reviewed Agencies was held in Madrid, Kingdom of Spain. NEAA was invited to participate following its successful external review procedure in 2022–2023. The seminar was hosted by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA).
During the seminar, presentations were delivered by both ENQA representatives—focusing on the agency review processes and follow-up visits—and by agencies that had recently undergone an ENQA external review. Key topics included the opportunities and challenges agencies face during the review process, as well as best practices for further development and achieving full compliance with the ESG and the recommendations of ENQA and EQAR.
Representatives from the quality assurance agencies in higher education of Slovakia, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom shared their experiences with ENQA’s review process. This was followed by a working discussion on identifying the main standards with which most ENQA member agencies encounter difficulties.
The seminar was an extremely valuable opportunity for NEAA, as a follow-up visit by ENQA is scheduled for September 2025 in relation to the Agency’s external review.
